Georgian Mahogany Wine Cellerette

18th century
Description

Good size Georgian mahogany wine cellerette with original fitted interior. The cellerette is square in shape with original tapered square leg stand which is fixed as one. The cellerette is inlaid with boxwood line inlay and a small tulip-wood cross banding to the front. The top is veneered in flame mahogany. The cellerette has its original brass side handles. The box is tall enough for a modern wine bottle to stand inside.

The box is in good clean condition with no issues. The interior divisions are all original. The brass castors have been replaced in Edwardian times and at the same time the top has been re-polished. The rest of the box has its original finish. Nice colour.
