Description

This is a charming pair of Chinese gouache watercolours on pith which date from around 1880. The watercolours are in the most beautifully vibrant colours and depict butterflies resting upon colourful blossoms. The paintings are in excellent condition save for a minor loss to the top edge of the pith surface of one. These measure 25 cms by 19 cms.

Rams Head Antiques is a family business based in Wolsingham in Weardale where we have had shop premises for 28 years. The shop is generally open every Saturday from 11 am till 3 pm.
