A very unusual French table that was probably for the display of dolls. The table is of typical tripod form, ebonised with good ormolu mounts. The top has the central facade of a building with a door that splits the table in half creating two different room scenes. The top has been painted with a chequerboard floor and has wonderful original wallpaper to the facades. The table retains the retail label for the Parisian toy shop of Nadaud who specialised in dolls. The whole is a most rare item and has a great decorative appeal and interest. C.1900.
