This is a charming 19th century alphabet sampler by Emily Ratchett dated July 21st 1885 in remarkably crisp, clean condition. The sampler has a detailed border with pretty floral spandrels and has the text St Monica’s Convent embroidered beneath the date. This is in lovely original condition, in its original good quality solid maple frame which measures 27 cms by 33 cms.

Rams Head Antiques is a family business based in Wolsingham in Weardale where we have had shop premises for 28 years. The shop is generally open every Saturday from 11 am till 3 pm.
