17th Century Carved Oak Stand

Description

Circa 17th century oak stand. The stand is profusely carved with a flat section to the top (the cap appears to be missing) and upward facing acanthus leaves beneath this. The centre of the column tapers and has 4 cherubs heads above further mouldings. It stands on a plinth base with further carvings to all sides and could be adapted into a standard lamp or torchere.

Size 125 cm high x 37 cm wide
