Georgian Games Box, Chess, Draughts & Dominoes

18th century
Description

Good early 19th century Georgian mahogany folding games box. The box with boxwood and ebony inlaid chess board on the out side and backgammon on the inside. The inside being also nicely inlaid with boxwood and ebony inlays. The box folds in half and is in good condition. The box comes with a very good quality Staunton boxwood and ebony chess set, a full set of ebony and bone dominoes and a full set of turned ebony and boxwood draughts.

The box is in very good condition and is a lovely colour. There is slight damage to a couple of the chess pieces but nothing serious.

SIZE; Box when open is 17" by 14" by 2" high

CIRCA; 1810 - 1820 (box). Games are later.
