Beautifully Fitted Drawing Instruments Box

Description

A large and good quality fully-fitted oak DRAWING or DRAUGHTSMAN'S BOX in good condition.

The honey-oak box has a dated (1929) inscription to the oval cartouche in the lid, which opens to reveal an upper tray full of various drawing instruments; compasses; dividers and other implements and tools.. This can be lifted out to reveal below a bank of five boxwood rulers; a set of ebony parallel rules; set squares etc. Signed to the lid and on most pieces for the famous makers: Stanley. 14.5 x 6.5 x 3.5ins (37 x 16.5 x 9cms)
