Stunning and rare 19th century Chinese antique. This is a life size (nearly 5 ft tall) , heavy hand carved and painted statue of GuanYin sitting on a plinth (all one piece). This is one of the nicest carvings I have ever seen with great detailing and decoration. It has lovely patina with just the right amount of wear/aging to the wood and paintwork. Overall condition is good with only minor surface wear / rubbing and flaking to the paint and a few small cracks. All very minor and as you would expect from a piece of this age.
