Description

A very rare and wonderful quality Victorian book safe, complete with its original leather and gilt edge books, which include a ‘Daily Diary’ a ‘Cash Account’ and ‘Visits and Addresses’. The books are secured with a brass plate and sprung mechanism, operated by the original lock and key. The beautiful exterior is in burr walnut, decorated with engraved brass and hand painted cabochons featuring cherubs.

A stunning box, in complete and undamaged or restored condition.
