The Silver Cabinet has dated this piece to the Edwardian era.
The baton has been used - there are marks where it has been struck against the music stand - but there are no engravings on the cartouche. The floral decorations on the silver are crisp. There are a couple of small knocks to the silver on the handle, but no more than would be expected from a baton of this age.
It is 45cm / 18inches in length.
