Miniature Cameo Of Lord Byron

A tiny cameo of the Poet Lord Byron most likely made after his death as a momento mori. The cameo is typical shell carving and is mounted on possibly a horn mount to be used as a purse tie. A small and decorative item that is in excellent condition although there is a scratch on the back. A rare piece of memorabilia relating the famous romantic poet. C.1830.
