French Mid 19th Century Green Serpentine Marble Column

A French mid 19th century green serpentine marble column.

This column consists of a circular turned top with a moulded edge with carved spiral twist column below leading down to a baluster support with circular moulded edge all supported on an octagonal base.

The column is generally in good condition for age with a few small chips which is not uncommon with the serpentine material, it is of stable construction and can go straight into a home - a super column for displaying decorative items and busts.
