A good pair of 19th century carved ivory rectangular portrait relief plaques depicting King Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette, in matching tortoiseshell veneered glazed rectangular frames, the ivory panels each 3.85 by 3.05ins. (9.8 by 7.8cms.), 6.7 by 5.9ins. (17 by 15cms.) (overall)

Condition

Ivory panel of Marie Antoinette has a small chip to the left hand bottom corner. The frames are C19th and the carvings C18th.
