Pair of Huge 19th Century Antique Entranceway Lions

This is a fabulous pair of English, high quality, antique cast iron lions, originally from a country house estate on the Scottish borders where they sat high on pillars at the entrance. Very well cast and with remnants of the original gilding. Both are in super condition, they each rest on a shaped shield and have a tall flag aloft in one paw. The cast iron is nice and crisp with the lions being a loveley model, they look good from all angles. Dating from the 19th century, this pair of architectural antique cast iron lions come in three parts, the lion, shield and flag. Easy to deliver on a pallet. Perfect for an entrance way, they can easily be bolted onto a plinth.
