A good quality Victorian cast iron safe by T. Withers & Sons, retaining it's original dark green paint finish with makers plaque and brass handle. The door opens to reveal a single shelf and drawer. Remarkably remnants of a page from a ledger dated 1891 listing timbers purchased line the inside. The safe comes with the original key and a spare. English, Circa 1880.
