Description

C19th plaster bust of a bacchante

A large plaster bust painted to resemble bronze, the bust is of a bacchante a female follower of Bacchus, and dates from the late C19th, this is identical to a signed plaster bust by J. B. Carpeaux (French, 1827-1875), but this bust has no signature.

Measuring

Height 20.25in.

Width 10in.

Depth 10.5in.

Condition

Good overall but a few losses on the very top of the bust and the odd paint loss, please study pictures
