A really superb large antique English folding games board or box with highly decorative veneers in exotic Rosewood and Birds-Eye Maple.

The interior is an absolute joy revealing a Backgammon board. The box comes complete with a later turned and carved boxwood and ebony chess set, it works perfectly with this size of board.

Dating to around 1860, it remains in excellent condition and measuring 15 1/2" x 9" x 4" tall when closed.
