19thc Large Italian Gilded Frame

A remarkable moulded gilt Italian frame of large proportion.

Suitable for use as a mirror as well as for a painting, perhaps a contemporary one just to add an appealing contrast to a modern canvas, it can be displayed either portrait (with the original hook) or landscape (using recently added hooks).

There are some wear and scratches here and there which have not been restored both because they don’t detract from the charm of this frame and because the majority of our potential customers would prefer a more original look to a piece like this.
