Pristine Antique Turned Walnut String Box / Dispenser - Brass Mounted

Description

A stunning and rarely found piece of English Victorian treen dating to around 1860 made from a wonderful piece of turned Walnut wood with a magnificent glossy patina.

The canister is decorated with finely pierced or reticulated polished brass mounts, engraved for enhanced decoration. The lid too has a glorious brass mount with solid knob which turns to loosen and rewind the twine spool within.

Excellent condition, measuring 4 1/2" tall, with a base diameter measuring 3".
