Description

This is a most decorative late 19th century Tibetan temple painted panel with fabulous hand painted seascape and mythical creatures swimming around in the swirling waves. This large panel was most probably the door to a Buddhist temple or monastery. The painting is mounted onto canvas which has been overlaid and fixed onto the timber door. The colours are delightful and the stylish artwork is very typical of the region from this period.

A most interesting and rare piece that would have real impact in many situations.

The large panel measures 176 cms by 98 cms.
