Description

Made by ASPREY'S of London and bearing their mark, this attractive MAHOGANY BOOK STAND, with fine BOXWOOD inlay, dates from 1912.

The LEATHER-BOUND and gilt-edged REFERENCE BOOKS, also marked ASPREY'S, have lovely signs of ageing and fading. The BOOKS that have been either end of the stand, for any length of time, have faded and show the silhouette of the mahogany frame.

The STAND would have sat on a Gentleman's Desk giving easy access to instant knowledge.

The Dictionary, as can be seen from the photograph, has one cover board adrift.

The MAHOGANY STAND is in good condition.

Original throughout.
