Always sought-after and harder to find these days, this is a genuine antique German novelty counter bell in the from of a tortoise.

This example is polished silver coloured metal, perfect for today's fashionable trend of silver coloured metal's in the home, and would suit any decor from period to contemporary.

The bell is mechanical and and when wound up from the underside will give out an authoritative shrill when either the tail or head is pressed.

Signed on the underside CSS. Dating to around 1900 it remains in full working order and in excellent polished condition measuring 6 1/2" in length from head to tail.
