Victorian Parian Figure Under Glass Dome C1860

Description

This beautiful VICTORIAN PARIAN FIGURE of a GREEK MUSE, possibly ERATO, dates from circa 1860. She stands beneath, what appears to be, the original, tall glass dome and base. The photograph of the base shows the fading of the red baize which has occured over a long period of time. The FIGURE has some writing to the inside of the base which, possibly, reads HO/Paris.

As the FIGURE has been so well protected over the years it is in good condition with no cracks, chips or restoration. The GLASS DOME is also in good condition with no cracks.
