Large Highly Decorative Superbly Carved Continental Pine Bracket in the Form of a Satyr

A large highly decorative superbly carved Continental pine bracket in the form of a satyr, possibly Italian.

This imposing carving consists of a satyr holding onto the scrolling bracket above him, this bracket supporting the satyr, his figure forming a larger bracket.

The satyr is depicted with typical goat horns, ears, tail and legs with carved foliage and scrolled decoration around him.

This carving could be fixed to a wall (professionally) and would make a superb statement piece.

The carving is in very good original condition, is of stable construction and can go straight into a home.
