Description

An antique mahogany knitting sheath from the second half of the 19th century. Heart and diamond inlay surrounded by an inlaid border. Towards the needle end there is a glass pannel with cut paperwork with a hand written inscription 'Anne Porter' 'Love and be true'. Diagonal slot for the apron string. Mother of pearl needle hole. C1870/80
