Description

A stunning late 19th century solid brass Gothic lectern. The pieced book rest is supported by a solid cast eagle clasping a brass globe. The lower section having a castlated top which Is engraved with “ DEO GRATIAS. OCT.18. MDCCCXC1X. F.W.C. et F.L.C.” which translates as “Thanks be to God. Oct 18th 1899 and F.W.C and F.L.C.” who probably donated the lectern. The ring cast column with multi stepped base with claw feet. In very good condition and ready for use.
