Carved Oak Eagle Arts and Crafts

1900 - 1920
Description

This is a beautifully carved bird of prey which is very Arts and Crafts in style and probably dates from around 1900. The eagle type bird is carved from one piece of solid oak and is quite simple in style as you would expect for an Arts and Crafts piece. There is a small signature to the base which looks like R G Monet, so it it is probably French.

The eagle is in great condition and measures 52 cms high and 19 cms deep.

Rams Head Antiques is a family business based in Wolsingham in Weardale where we have had shop premises for 28 years. The shop is generally open every Saturday from 11 am till 3 pm.
