A rare, early C19th carrera marble cistern of elongated oval form, the top with a circular moulding over the bold ogee shaped body with carved rings to either end to simulate handles; raised on a cavetto moulded plinth.

Could be used as a wine cooler or a jardiniere.

Italian circa 1820

Good condition, with some weathering
