A highly decorative late 19th century life size Austrian painted terracotta bust of a Nubian man by Koenig & Lensfeld.

This figure is depicted in exotic traditional dress wearing a shawl, necklace and fez hat.

The figure is supported by a decorated plinth inscribed 'MAROKKO' meaning Morocco which would refer to the area he is from, ie North Africa.

This super figure is in good condition for age with some evidence of retouching which is not uncommon for terracotta pieces and can go straight into a home.
