A 19th century portrait miniature on ivory depicting a young lady

the forward facing figure is presented in a dark green jacket bordered with ermine upon a red silk dress, her hair adorned with pearls, signed bottom right 'Pitau', indistinctly inscribed in pencil to interior verso, set within a pressed metalwork easel-backed frame, the glazed oval aperture below a scrolling garland pediment,
