A very rare and most unusual piece.
This is an original Falcon Perch from the 19th Century very difficult to find on the market for collectors of antique falconry equipment.
The slightly tapered block of wood has three carved rims which, we assume, have a practical function before than adding a decorative element to the object.
The cork on the top, where the bird rests, is beautifully aged as well as the iron metal spike.
Great original condition.
