A lovely pair of genuine Victorian (19th century) Japanese Chinoiserie black lacquer folding shelves, with hinged support and shelf to allow them to be conveniently folded flat. Each shelf is beautifully hand painted, depicting a Japanese scene.

The colours remain vibrant and each shelf has been professionally cleaned, waxed and are now ready to be used and enjoyed by the next custodian.

In excellent condition, wear to one hinge; this does not prevent the function of the shelf and mentioned only for accuracy.
