Rare Rosewood Flower Table by Gillows

Description

GILLOWS of LANCASTER: a gorgeous quality and rare early/mid 19th century solid rosewood JARDINIERE or FLOWER TABLE, of unusual form and in original condition.

The octagonal top is fitted with a zinc lined tray (for potted plants etc) and is supported on a well turned and carved solid rosewood central column. This leads to a gadrooned 'collar' and four classical Gillows cabriole legs with carved feet and original concealed castors.

A beautiful decorative table by the 'Master' and of a form we have not seen before. 31ins high; 16ins diameter. (79 x 40.5cms)
