Early Victorian Mahogany Pair of Luggage Stools by J. Kendell & Co. The slatted tops on ring turned legs. Makers labels underneath.

13 1/2" deep

17 1/2" high

J Kendall & Co were cabinet makers from Leeds, Yorkshire and who’s craftsmanship is seen to be on a par with that of Gillows. J Kendall stands for John Kendall who was established between 1783 to 1840 and is listed in the G.Beard & C.Gilbert, Dictionary of English Furniture Makers 1660-1840.
