Early 19th Century Sampler Sarah Hodges Aged 10

Description

This is a delightful early 19th century sampler by Sarah Hodges aged 10, dated 1807 verso. The sampler is extremely finely embriodered with lovely detail throughout. The fabric has slight deterioration to the edge and a couple of small areas seen in photo 6. This is a nice early example in its original solid oak frame and has the script "Worked 1807 AD " to the back boards.

The sampler measures 46 cms by 37 cms overall, including the frame.
