Description

An Interesting pair of side Drums one by Besson and Co, 98 Euston rd London the other one by Hawkes and Son London number 9389, both for the St Johns Ambulance Brigade (formed 1877) covering the Firbeck colliery, situated on the border of Nottinghamshire and Yorkshire Firbeck colliery opened c1925 and closed in 1968, the village of Langold is adjacent to the colliery and is well known today for Langold lakes.
