A Late Victorian Silver Mounted Leather Wallet.

A good example of a Victorian silver mounted wallet with a hallmarked corner detail in the Art Nouveau style. This good example is of hinged form and is made from a combination of smooth and textured green leather. It opens to reveal a kid and silk interior, with charming compartments for stamps etc, fashioned to look like envelopes. A wonderful piece, 117 years old and still perfectly practical and usable for today's needs.

Condition :- Very good, with no tears or splits to the leather and the wallet closes well. The interior has some wear and loss to the fabric, commensurate with age and use.
