A very unsual birdcage on stand in brass made by W.A.S.Benson with the mark on the base. The cage stands on a lions paw base with a turned and tapered stand to a small bird cage. The whole as would be expected of the firm is of a very high quality. The bird cage is in good untouched country house condition and appears to be a great rariety as I can find no other example. C.1900.
