For sale is a Japanese ivory Okimono dating c1890 during the Meiji Period. This stunning piece as been intricately carved and is in good condition for its age. The ivory carving depicts a fisherman holding a boy in his shoulders and the young boy carrying a fish. The detail on this piece is immaculate from the clothing and to the hands and feet of the man and boy and it has an aesthetically pleasing patina, this is a superb example of carved ivory. The base is sign in Japanese. This Okimono is 21cm in height and 5cm at the base.
