Description

Size: 2ft 0in x 1ft 8in (62 x 51cm) face size.

Antique South Persian saddle bag by the Luri tribe, complete with very decorative plain weave back

Circa 1900.

The bag face has a latch hook medallion design, the bag is complete with an outstanding highly decorative plain weave back and traditional Luri brocaded lappets at the top. The bag has been opened for display.

The bag is in good condition with even wear and medium pile. The back is a little ragged at the end where the closing loops are.

The bag has been hand washed and is ready for display.
