Size: 3ft 3in x 2ft 7in (99 x 78cm) face size.

Antique Baluch saddle bag face with Mina Khani design, probably from Western Afghanistan

Circa 1860.

The bag face has a beautifully drawn example of the Mina Khani design to the face in superb natural colours. Mina Khani means 'many flowers'. The border designs are also superb with the main border being on a madder red ground. The bag face retains a flat woven panel to the top with a fine band of weft work decoration.

The bag face is in excellent condition with very slight wear and good pile.

The bag face has been hand washed and is ready for display.

This is a rare and collectable bag face.
