1821 Pattern Royal Artillery Officer’s Sword

Description

A good example of an 1821 pattern Royal Artillery Officer’s sword, dating from the reign of George V. This sword has a slightly curved 86cm blade, engraved and signed by J. G. Plumb of 117 Victoria Street, Westminster. The steel hilt has a three-bar knuckle guard and a wire bound shagreen grip. The sword is housed in its original brown leather scabbard. The sword is in excellent order with only very light pitting to the steel hilt, as one would expect. The blade is very clean and the scabbard is in excellent order.
