Large Early 20th Century Taxidermy Specimen Bow Front Case of Four Roach

A nice example of a large early 20th century taxidermy specimen case of four roach, mounted in a bow fronted glass case with gold border.

The interior of the case has a pale blue backboard, the fish mounted in a naturalistic setting of reeds and river plants and rock base.

To the lower front of the case, a description painted as follows:

'Caught by HE Deacock at Christchurch, March 3rd 1914'

This case can either be secured to a wall or be displayed as a freestanding piece.

This case is in very good original condition.
