Description

A very good quality Victorian GAMES COMPENDIUM in excellent condition and particularly well fitted.

The box itself is of coromandel wood, lined in satinwood, opening both lid and two front doors to display many different games which include:

*Red-and-white bone chess set;

*Full set of draughts & backgammon;

*Full set of Dominoes;

*Gilt Cribbage Board;

*Set of six dice and four pegs;

*4 sets of playing cards and Bezique markers;

*Full set of racehorses & fences (for the Newmarket game);

*Boxwood shakers; counters etc

*and a triple-opening board in fine condition.

A very good and little-used example of this popular Games Compendium.
