Description

This is a stunning and good quality Chinese screen with an exceptionally fine silk embroidery of koi carp. The embroidery is meticulously crafted to both sides perfectly and is on a shimmering silk which emulates the effect of a pond in which the fish are swimming. This effect is cleverly enhanced as the silk embroidery is encased in glass which with light passing through truly creates the realistic scene. The superbly carved ornate frame has a stunning central dragon design in beautiful hardwood.

The piece is a real one off and is in superb clean condition.

The screen is a good size measuring 110 cm high 96 cm wide by 23 cm deep.
