This piece needs to be seen. The photos taken outside make it look a paler than it is.
Early 19th century, the mahogany has faded evening to an extremely pretty colour and still has a lovely patina.
It is brass bound with brass carrying handles and boxwood stringing to the edges.
Inside it is lead lined.
