English Finely Carved Oak Wooden Figure of a Saint

19th century
Description

A mid/late 19th century English finely carved oak wooden figure of a Saint, possibly Saint Benedict.

He is depicted with his left arm raised as he preaches his sermon, wearing draped robes.

There is damage to his right forearm and hand is missing and missing fingers to his left hand, as seen in the photographs.

Although this figure has some imperfections, this does not take away the fact it is a very good quality carving.
