Superb Japanese Iron and Enamel Leaping Carp Box

Description

As part of our Japanese art collection we are delighted to offer this delightful silver lined iron box with onlaid enamel and mixed metal decoration, the chiselled iron lid depicts a lakeside scene with an array of multi coloured enamel and silver water lilies rising from the bed , the box lid comes to life with an incredibly well detailed leaping Carp attempting to take a gold fly from the sky , the box has a silvered liner with a further chased Carp to the inner lid, signed in a three character signature above a gold seal , a fantastic addition to your Japanese collection .

The condition is lovely !!
