Folk Art International Stores Shop Display C1910

Here we have a wonderful rare Edwardian folk art International Stores shop front c1910. As you can see the shop front has lovely colour and patina. The shop front is made from a sardine box and other various pieces of wood and original glass. It is covered in paper and card and carfully painted letters. It is not as fragile as it looks and being a plaything it is remarkable it has survived. The two sides are hinged and pull open to reveal a shelved shop interior. There are various advertising pieces stuck to the insides and sides including players cigarettes, Guinness and Birds custard. It is easy to date by the advertising logos of the various companies. A super must for any folk art collecter. The dimensions are approx 16 inches high 22 wide and 9 deep.
