Japanese Meiji Period Ivory Skull and Toad Netsuke

As part of our Japanese art collection we are delighted to offer this finely carved ivory netsuke, the subject matter on this occasion is a skull upon which clamber two toads , frogs and toads in Japanese mytholgy are auspicious creatures and the skull represents the circle of life , this is an incredibly well carved netsuke and a gorgeous mellow colour ,it would seriously enhance any good netsuke collection,or maybe start a new one ?

The condition is lovely !
